Pancake Nation: Here is how the healthcare system will work. → pancakenation.tumblr.com

The military has been implementing this for dependents for decades.

1. You’ll have a PCP (primary care provider).

2. That doesn’t mean you will ever see this person. I’ve had mine for 2 years and I just had an appt with her a few months ago.

3. If you make an appointment and you specifically…

i never wanted this kind of “healthcare reform”.  what they needed to do was revamp and restructure what was already in place.  but noooooo.  let’s make things hugely fucking confusing.  GAH!  government is bullshit.  and causes more problems than it fixes.

people like to think that privatized healthcare is so affordable.  but it’s not.  try getting insurance for a family of 5 that includes all the basic things and then because i’m of an age, maternity inclusions…yeah for us it’s about half our monthly income to pay for health insurance.  so we don’t have it.

and the reason it’s so damn expensive is because doctor’s/hospitals have to charge outrageous fees to cover malpractice insurance that they have to have cuz there are dickheads out there who love to sue over the dumbest shit.  it’s a never ending cycle governmental dysfunction and beauracratic bullshit.

i hear from the right-winged crazy conservatives that this bill makes having healthcare a requirement & that you have to pay for it and they’ll penalize you if you don’t.  uh what?  please tell me they’re blowing this shit out of proportion cuz OMG!

i don’t have health care cuz i can’t fucking afford it.  so now i HAVE to get it or be penalized?  i thought the whole point was so that people who can’t afford it could get “affordable” healthcare if they wanted to!  i don’t like being forced or told what to do.  that’s BULLSHIT.

and yeah i like to choose the physicians i want to see.  not being assigned someone on a list that i’ll never actually see.  that is waaaaaaaay messed up.

every system has it’s failures and downsides, just like it has it’s advantages and successes.  but i’m not hearing anything good about this new healthcare reform. and frankly i could do without it.  we’ve gotten along just fine all these years, paying for it ourselves when we’ve had to.  and we’ve never suffered, or not been treated.  so i say the government needs to get the hell out of my business and let me do what i’ve been doing with relative success.

You never can tell.

pancakenation:

I wonder if I got “c’est la vie” on my wrist…if people would associate it with the Chuck Berry song.

It’s not a bad thing, but it’s not why I want it.

haha, i know what song you’re talking about cuz i always think of Pulp Fiction when i hear it.  i think C’est La Vie would be pretty and i don’t automatically think of the Chuck Berry song but of French movies like Amelie!  :)

i’m gonna get Temet Nosce (latin for “Know Thyself”) on my right wrist at some point (above my AMZ tat) and i think the quote i’m gonna get is gonna snake around my bicep like an armband.

now to find someone who’ll tat text.  most of the tattoo artists around here are too pussy to do text…wtf really?  *rolls eyes* of course i do live in nowhereville! LOL!
